Joan Liversidge

Joan Dyer Liversidge, M.S., LCMFT is a therapist, educator, and trainer for the National Institute of Relationship Enhancement® (NIRE). Joan is a certified leader for the Couple Relationship Enhancement® Weekend (CREW) and provides training in Relationship Enhancement® skills in workplace and community settings. She is also certified as a trainer for Mastering the Mysteries of Love and Love’s Cradle Relationship Enhancement® programs. Joan also is a certified Prepare-Enrich counselor and trainer. As a Marriage and Family therapist for 28 years, she has worked with individuals, couples and families in a variety of private and community based settings. Joan designs, develops and leads programs for couples with her husband through the Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment (ACME) and Friends General Conference Couple Enrichment Program (FGC-CEP). She has managed several large programs serving children, youth and families in both the public and private sector. In the private, non-profit sector she served as a staff therapist, clinical supervisor and Director of the YMCA Bethesda Youth Services. During the 15 years of service in the public sector with Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, she developed and implemented prevention and early intervention programs for families with young children (birth to five years old) and was the Montgomery County Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator.
