Continuing Education Information
For Psychologists
NIRE is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for
psychologists.
For Social Workers
NIRE has been approved by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners to sponsor Category I
continuing education programs for social workers.
For Counselors
NIRE is recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors to offer continuing
education for Nationally Certified Counselors.
For Play Therapists
IDEALS/NIRE is approved by the Association for Play Therapy to offer continuing education
specific to play therapy. Our provider number is 95-009. IDEALS/NIRE maintains
responsibility for this program.
NIRE maintains responsibility for its programs. NIRE adheres to all sponsorship guidelines
of these organizations pertaining to the providing of CE credits. The number of Continuing
Education hours awarded varies with the program length.
