Advanced Child-Centered Play Therapy Workshop
This two-day advanced workshop is for those who have had previous training in
Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and who desire to
augment and refine their knowledge and skills in the method. Day One of the workshop
emphasizes the refinement of general sessions skills, including strategies to solve problems
frequently encountered in the practice of play therapy. Day Two includeds advanced
skill training through roleplay demonstrations, supervised practice exercises, the
supervision of video tapes brought by participants who choose to do so, and opportunities for
participants to discuss problems which they have encountered in the practice of the method.
The ratio of participants to workshop leader(s) is kept small so as to ensure ample
opportunity for skills training and individual supervision of exercises and/or participants'
actual cases.
