Indeed, many individuals initiate counseling because of relationship issues, whether with a spouse or significant other, a child, one’s own parents or siblings, a friends or professional colleagues. The core communication and relationship skills from the Relationship Enhancement® model are ideally suited to help individuals begin to alter their patterns of behavior in more helpful directions and in this manner improve that person’s interpersonal relationships. NIRE therefore offers specialized forms of relationship-focused individual counseling:

“Individual” Couple Counseling

Even when one partner in a couple refuses or is unable to come for couple counseling, NIRE can help the other partner to develop and apply a variety of communication, conflict management and other relationship skills aimed at developing cooperation, increasing mutual understanding, and creating an atmosphere in which relationship issues can be resolved constructively.

“Individual” Family Counseling

Even when one or more family members refuse or are unable to come for family counseling, NIRE can help the attending family member(s) to develop and apply a variety of communication, conflict management and relationship skills aimed at developing family cooperation, increasing mutual understanding among family members, and creating an atmosphere in which family issues can be resolved constructively.

Cost of Counseling

Fees are based on family income and number of dependents and will be discussed in the initial session.     In some cases, insurance reimbursement is possible.      NIRE staff will provide the necessary documentation to apply for reimbursement from your insurance company.
